INTRODUCTION  OF FILM"AMRITA KI KHEJADI":..............
Gracy Singh turns a firebrand environmentalist :-

The actress is all set to play a Bishnoi woman in her upcoming movie.

Actress Gracy Singh has stepped in to play the Bishnoi woman, in a period drama titled ‘Saako-363 Amrita Ki Khejadi’. The movie is about a firebrand environmentalist woman who fought to save flora and fauna in her village.
She the character owing to her ethnic look and plays the protagonist in the film. “Yes, shooting in Jaipur [Barmer] is indeed making me feel great. Firstly, because I get to learn the mannerisms of the woman belonging to the Bhishnoi community. They have a typical way of wearing ‘kajal’ in their eyes which separates them from the rest of the Indians. The jewellery they wear is also very well fashioned and attractive. Also their attire is colorful and makes me look lovely,” says Gracy.
“I took up the character merely because I am very interested in the well being of woman and the cause which is being promoted through this film. I am also associated with an NGO in Mumbai where I keep fulfilling the desire of doing things for socially deprived woman. I always get attracted to simple roles and interesting stories. I am happy that even today I am appreciated and known for the role I performed in ‘Lagaan’,” shares the heroine who would love to once again work with Aamir Khan.
Talking about how she loves to do cinema with a difference, she shares, “I also love to do revolutionary kind of drama. I have also worked to promote greenery. It is my dream to do so much good for my country and its people. I respect the living of people in a natural environment; they should not be deprived of the nature bestowed upon them by almighty God.”
Talking about wanting to direct films in future, she shares, “I would love to direct films in future; I have nurtured this creativity for years now. I have not worked under any director but having worked in films has taught me the nuances of film making. I love to be spontaneous. There are no techniques of directing. Every maker has his own creative style.”
Sharing what topics fascinate her, she shares, “If at all I make a film, my subject will be based on modern Mahabharata. I feel every single person has his own fight. My Mahabharata will not highlight the fight of the Kauravas and Pandavas. It will be something which every man can associate with.”
Talking about how each moment in cinema is a learning experience, she shares, “I always feel like an upcoming artist. There is so much to learn from filmmaking. I am proud to be associated with Indian Cinema. The Indian culture, emotions and the society has so much to tell. Every minute is a learning process for me, especially while I am shooting, be it in front of the camera or behind it.”
“Here in Jaipur, I am enjoying the weather, it is cloudy but no rains. The feel is so romantic. Also I am enjoying the delicious dishes made here like ‘Daal Batti’, ‘Surmasa’ and the ‘Mattharies’,” says the heroine who wants to make a difference.
The film stars Raghubir Yadav and Vishwajeet Yadav, Raj Premi, Gracy and is being directed and written by Kalyan Seervi under Shri Maruddhara Films Pvt. Ltd.
